VO Calendar 1.2.5

VO Calendar is a weekly calendar specifically designed to be used with VoiceOver. This VoiceOver-only design enables a seamless navigation experience within the app, while also providing intelligent summaries based on context, eliminating the need to manually review each event.

Automatically synchronizing existing events, VO Calendar offers the option to record voice memos as an alternative to manual entry. The app supports familiar VoiceOver gestures for efficient usability.

For even quicker access, the split-screen feature allows users to swiftly scan the right half of the screen with their right thumb and activate functions with a single tap using the left thumb. This innovative layout facilitates accelerated browsing through the calendar after a short adaptation period.

The app’s layout includes the 'Return' button conveniently located at the bottom left for easy access with the right thumb in an L-shaped configuration. Furthermore, a screen summary is always displayed at the top left, with flexibility to swap positions for left-handed users.

For users who have multiple calendars configured, VO Calendar displays all relevant events and assigns new events to the iPhone’s default calendar. Changing the default calendar is possible in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Calendar.

Developed in collaboration with Royal Dutch Visio, a Center of Expertise for individuals with visual impairments, VO Calendar focuses on enhancing accessibility for blind and partially sighted users.
